When Marketing an Article, Conserative Submission Is the Way to Go
With all of the marketing of articles that is going on today, there are many products and tools out there that will automate some of that process for you. The thing that you have to become aware of, is the more automated your process, the easier it is to spot by the search engines, and if you are marketing your articles for search engine traffic, then you will need to make sure your marketing tools won’t hurt your search engine chances.
When looking at tools for submitting your article conservative submission is the way to go. Conservative article submission is submitting your article to article directories gradually over time, which looks more natural. There are very few article submission services that I know that do this. Most of them will blast out your article and then your site will suddenly get a huge number of links pointing to your website in a very short period of time… That just screams automated submission, which is not natural. So in the short run, your submission tools will negatively affect your search engine results.
There is one high quality service that will submit your article gradually over time, and you get to pick the time period in which your articles get submitted. My experience with this feature so far has been good. My sites haven’t disappeared from the results for a week or so before showing up randomly in the results again. When you are submitting many articles at a time, this feature can be valuable.
This is the article submission service that I use that parcels out the submissions. I have been using the month period of time, but you can go as short as a week or 2 months long.

How to Write An Article That Promotes Your Product or Service Without Getting Kicked Out Of Article Directories
This next article will discuss some of the things your article needs to have in order to be accepted to article directories. This is important especially if you are wanting to use your article to promote your product or service. You don’t want it looking like a sales letter or a promotion because it won’t be accepted to most directories, or even ezines. Here are some ways to have our cake and eat it too!
The power of writing an article is to create an interest in your product or service. This form of article marketing is best when your article is in as many places on the web as possible, and that usually includes article directories or published in other people’s newsletters. In order for your article to appear in these places, your article must pass certain requirements these directories and e-zines set.
Most, if not all, article directories and newsletter publishers will not accept glorified sales letters as submissions and they may or may not tell you if your article has been rejected. Many article directories will have submission requirements that don’t allow links in the article body, don’t allow you to promote your product or service directly in the article, don’t accept press releases, or don’t allow affiliate links in the resource box.
With all of these very common restriction, how does one bring attention to their product, service or website? A multi-step marketing process needs to be used. The first step is to create a title that gets people interested in reading the rest of the article. If possible, your title should include a point that showcases your product or service.
The next step is to write a first paragraph that excites the reader while the rest of the article carries them through to the resource box. The rest of the article should get them very interested in, and wanting more of what your article was about.
The last step is guiding the reader to quench their interest. This is done through a call to action in your resource box. Usually this call to action is to have them go to your website to get more information, or to find the complete answer to the question that was answered in the article.
You as the author, need to write an enticing article that promotes your product or service and still stays within the submission terms of most article directories. The best, and easiest way to do that is to answer a question or solve a problem that is common in your area of expertise. You would need to pick a question or solve a problem that really showcases your knowledge, or product in an indirect way. If you focus on a question or problem that specifically relates to your product or service, you can write the article based on what your product or service can do in an indirect way. This is done by providing the solution to a common problem, or answering a popular question, and then leaving them hanging in your concluding paragraph. You would then use your resource box as the follow-up to the last paragraph. IT is in your resource box that you would provide them the place they can receive the solution. It is important that you send them to a website that is related to the article, and not use the links in your resource box for some random link popularity scheme.
It is relatively easy to write articles that promote your product and service and still keep within the submission terms of the article directories and newsletter publishers that you would submit your articles to. When you learn how to write powerful titles, enticing articles, and powerful call to action resource boxes, you will have a persistent traffic machine. If you don’t feel you do that now, you should, your next step should be to beef up your article title writing skills and your resource box call to action.
Don’t Forget These Overlooked Ways In How Article Writing Can Drive More Traffic To Your Website
There are currently many ways to get more traffic to your website and article writing is one of those powerful ways to drive targeted traffic to your website. Most of these article marketing strategies are well known, but there are also some strategies that are just as powerful but less known. These overlooked strategies require quality articles to be written because they usually involve 3rd parties.
Most people write articles and submit them to article directories or other content-based websites. The authors of these articles then get traffic from these websites to their own website when people click on the links in their article resource box. This is the most common way people use article writing in their marketing efforts. However what about the other ways to use your article writing skills to get traffic to your website that doesn’t involve article directories?
One way of getting traffic to your website is to write articles for other people’s websites. Not for blogs or websites where there are already a number of other writers, but a website where you are the only other person to supply content. This technique may not be as difficult as you might think because most website owners are struggling to keep their site fresh and if you provide the solution to their problem of having fresh quality content, many website owners will jump at the offer. This strategy sets you apart because you can now get links back to your website without competing with other web site owners. You also stand out more in the eyes of the visitors to the website you are writing for so when they come to your website, they are more interested in what you have to offer. This strategy does require original articles that are written by you and are of good quality because it will be a tough sell to get someone else to put your crappy spam on their website.
Another uncommon article marketing strategy is to take a collection of your articles and place them in an eBook. You can then offer your eBook for free from your website and encourage others to share your ebook, make it a part of a package, or a bonus added to another person’s product or service. Having your articles in an eBook is a really great way to present your knowledge and showcase your talent. This strategy also requires articles that are well written and useful because no one will take your eBook seriously or share it with others if your articles are spam.
You can also use your articles as part of an auto-responder series to continue to drive traffic back to your website. If you write a series of articles on the same topic or in the same niche, you can put one article per message in the auto-responder series. Your message would include a compelling call to action after the article to send the reader back to your website. This method works very well to build trust with your readers, who will then be more willing to buy from you because they now feel like they can relate to you.
There are many other ways to use article writing as a means of sending targeted traffic back to your website. The methods listed here are just some of the ones that can be implemented with minimal effort and time. Using these additional techniques will build your brand as expert in your field more quickly and will get you more long-term traffic to your website.
Here is another resource that shows you how to write articles that drive traffic to your website and some ways to monetize those articles.
To Get More Exposure To Your Website You Need To Write A Feature Article
Article writing is a great way to showcase your talents and expertise. If you want to make a name for yourself and brand yourself as an expert in your niche, then articles are a great way to allow the reader to see just how much you know about your niche. Writing an article can get you some credibility, but writing a feature article puts you a bit higher on the credibility scale.
A feature article is an article that is showcased in a newsletter or on a website. It is an article that is considered valuable to it’s readers and goes into a bit more depth that a typical 450 to 500 word article. Featured articles can be anywhere from 650 to 1000 words long and are definitely high quality. Featured articles aren’t sales letters, or a spam-filled keyword-stuffed stream of consciousness to get better search engine rankings. Featured articles solve a problem common in your niche, answer frequently asked questions, or provide a different way of looking at the something in your target niche.
The best way to write an article of this type is to see what are some of the common questions people have in your target niche. You can find these questions from going to a forum in your niche, one of the groups in Yahoo or Google, or you could even put up a survey form on your site and see what kinds of questions visitors leave on your site. The last way of getting questions is the most powerful because you can really target your feature article to your site in the resource box of the article (“for more answers to questions like these go to mysite.com”).
Once you have your article, you will want to get it featured in some sort of online publication. You have a choice of having it featured on a website, or in a newsletter. If you want your article featured in a newsletter, you will have a better chance approaching the publisher of the newsletter that is targeted to the audience in your niche. You can go to many of the newsletter directories and see which ones take article submissions and then approach them. You will increase your chances if you sign up for their newsletter first so you can get a good understanding of how their newsletter is structured, and what kind of articles they publish in their newsletter. It will also give you something to talk to the publisher about in regards to their newsletter. What did you like about the article? What didn’t you like? This will prove you are there for more than just a “what can you give me” mentality. If you have some other articles that have been published in other newsletters, you can share this information with the publisher as well.
If you are looking to have your article featured on a website in your niche, a good way to find websites is to do a search for them in the search engines. Doing the following search string will give you a list of websites that publish featured articles: “[[niche]]” +”featured articles”. You can then go to the websites and see if they publish articles from other authors. Once you find a website, you can take a similar approach of the Webmaster that you did with the publisher. You would share with them what you liked about their website and ask them if they would like to publish any of your articles. If you present your request in a way that will show the webmaster the benefit they will get out of publishing your article on their website, you will increase your chances of having your article published.
Having your articles featured on a website or in a newsletter, you give you additional credibility in your niche. Featured articles should be high quality and provide value to the visitor of the website or subscriber of the newsletter. The style of approach you take with the Webmaster or publisher also makes a difference in whether or not you can get your articles featured.
Want a Good Authority Content Web Site? You Need These 3 Things
There are all kinds of content web sites on the Internet today. Some of them are high quality and popular resources, some of them are spam sites designed to generate adsense, and others are mediocre, somewhere between wanting to be high quality but just not knowing how to get there. So, there are 3 things that every content web site must have in order to be on the road to be considered a quality authority web content site.
1) High Quality content
The Content on your web site should be high quality and provide value to your visitors. If you do the following things with your content you can be sure that it hits the quality mark. If your web content solves a problem (such as how to get your Windows Vista to crash less frequently), then there is a good chance that your content provides value. Top 10 lists and FAQs’s are also a good way to be sure that your content will be useful to your visitors. One way to obtain information that you know will provide value is to go to sites like Google groups or yahoo groups, see what questions people are asking in your niche and then answer them. Another thing that you can do to answer questions in your niche is you can create a landing page that surveys your visitors. You can offer a free report for your visitors in exchange for their question. This is a great way to create content based on the latest up-to-date questions that are in your niche.
2) Fresh content
Another characteristic that makes a site valuable and fresh is content that is updated regularly. The more often your content is updated, the more the search engines like your content. The more the search engines like your content, the more visitors you will get and the more other people will link to your content because they have found your content. For an established site, you should update your site at least once a week. A blog is a great way to manage fresh content on your web site. If you have a really popular subject and site, then a forum is also a good way to manage fresh content on your web site. The more you can get others to participate, the more useful it will be to visitors and the easier it will be for you to keep the content fresh on your web site. When you are beginning your site, you should post once a day for the next couple of months to get the momentum going on your web site.
3) Trustworthy
The content on your website should be accurate to the best of your ability. If you have reviews on your web site, and they are favorable, they should be favorable because you use the product/service yourself and/or you recommend it to others consistently. People can tell a fake review and it lowers the authority value of your website. The highest and most underrated factor of your Internet presence is your trustworthiness. If people consider you trustworthy, they will be more likely to buy from you, or follow your recommendations. If not, then the opposite is true as well. Put content on your website that you would use yourself if you were looking for the same information.
Once you have a good authority web site, you have a valuable online asset. The more authority you have, the more likely you will be able to sell ads, get leads, and generate a good revenue from your web site. These factors and more are necessary to make an authority site that you can sell for good $$$ down the road. To become a pro at making authority sites, you should join a membership site that teaches the principles of creating authority sites for the long term.
